Such a lovely perfume....I do love bulbs in pots during the winter.
My daughter in law’s sister gave me this pot, doesn’t take long for them to grow & flower.
I have put them in my very favourite Emma Bridgewater bowl.
Three good things:
1. Harry & I had a trip out to Boundry Mill at Colne to buy a suitcase for a friends birthday. We bought a bright yellow one.
2. We also bought a new duvet for our bed & of course I couldn’t come away without the inevitable new pillows!
3. Delicious steak & onions for our evening meal.
Sounds a good day all round Pat !- even down to the steak and onion for tea ! Love your hyacinths , unfortunately I can not tolerate the perfume in the house - allergic reaction !
i can almost smell them Pat, we've had some beautiful purple one's in our loung, I grew them from bulbs before christmas :) The stems do droop a bit though !
just love Hyacinths and such a lovely bowl. When we visit our cousins in Bolton we always take a trip to Boundary Mill and cant help spending money there. Love steak and onions in the winter.
@mave I bought mine from Aldi Mave...a new variety of steak with salt & pepper topping, was good. Just popped in fir some raspberries & thought I would try.
@beryl What a shame Beryl, the perfume is the one thing I like the most....no good if you are allergic though....it’s better alergy than peanuts though Beryl!!
Sounds like a good has been had, but boundary mill is a subject I avoid, the visit there has always goes on to long for me when we've been. The hyacinth is looking pretty. One observation I have though is that you image is sloping. Try straightening it, and see if you don't agree it makes a difference.
@gamelee Thanks Lee & you’re right The I age is not at a good angle....I usually do straighten them but I think Boundary Mill went to my head! It’s not a place we go to more that once every five years! Too far for a start!
