No going out today....both have sore throats Harry has a cough.
Fish & chips from the chippy, a good fire, TV & a good book.
What more could we want.
Thinking tonight of all the poor souls watching the waters creep up.....terrifying going’s on when it’s dark too!
Three good things:
1. I had forgotten what a clever writer a Jeffrey Archer is...his plots are clever. It’s a long time since I read any of his books but reading one from the library today. Heads you Win.
2. Tartare sauce.
3. Thick socks.
Love warm and cosy image! I can hear the wind now howling and knocking something out there. Our fence had to be propped up as it was waving in the wind! I do feel for those anxious about the rise of the rivers in the rain!
Certainly a day to stay in today - such a horrible wet day and the winds are really howling as the day goes by ! What a scrumptious Saturday night supper - just the thing in front of the fire ! Sorry you both have a cold - miserable - hope you will get rid of it soon !
@huvesaker Thanks Boo....we are staying warm inside!
@farmreporter Thanks fir the fave Wendy....we haven’t moved all evening!
@pamknowler Yes you wonder what’s happening outside when you hear things blowing about...as long as no trees fall. Safer to stay in...hope the boys are cosy too.
@beryl I was going to cook fish out if the freezer but in the end I couldn’t be bothered...nothing wrong with our appetites! Colds no worse tonight.. hope you are all tucked up warm in your house!
@maggiemae We haven’t any virus up here yet Maggie...seems to be down London way...only people from China in Quarantine up here but all been released now. Fingers crossed they manage to get on top of it soon. One Chinese tourist has died in Paris so far...I expect we have had had several die of flu at the same time!
Love it. We succumbed to the fish and chip temptation on Friday evening after a day on the hills. It's such a fine treat! Hope you both feel better soon. Nasty weather at the moment - we've been water level watching too - even though we know our house is high enough not to be problematic. A bit of snow here this morning though!
Oh so sorry, I hope you are both speedily well again. Comfort foods a good plan. Dennis really is causing trouble on top of already soaked land from Ciara. Must be so distressing for your home to be caught in it, I really feel for those affected.
Well done and A FAV!
