We viewed a bungalow today.
It’s all about the space round him with Harry...not bothered so much about the house.
We were told we couldn’t go inside as the couple were nervous but they couldn’t have been nicer & we were there well over an hour having cups of tea.
I had a quick look inside...not to my taste but that doesn’t bother me, I have imagination! I think a wall might come down!
Only stumbling block is poor Walter who does not want to be dragged kicking & screaming from his home to live near their daughter.
I doubt Walter is going to win!
We will put an offer in tomorrow & see what happens!
It’s so hard having to uproot & do the sensible thing!
@beryl He’s already talking about a sit on mower we had one but it went in the sale last year. He definitely won’t be able to cut that with a walking one!
So the last bungalow that you looked out is out of the question? This looks nice from the outside and with a shed for the tractor! Its such fun redecorating and designing!
@maggiemae No idea what’s up there Maggie....it does look an odd shape from this angle but much bigger inside than it looks from this end of the garden.loads of space at side & front...I think there will be flower beds coming out round there! It has a double drive so always handy. The other place sold straight away as soon as we gave back word . This is loads bigger & in a nicer part of the village in my opinion. Lots to alter but we can make it work for us if they do decide to go that is!!
I'm sure you could make it look beautiful. It always amazes me that some people seem to have no imagination at all when viewing houses. My husband is like that and I have terrible trouble trying to help him visualise what it could be like.
@dh Same here Delena...he never even bothered going inside the house....& he didn’t like our present house at all when he first saw it....you have to remove the furniture in your mind, it’s all in the shapes of the rooms etc...I find it reasonably easy but you’re right!
Exciting.....
