From yesterday’s post I turned around & this is the view behind.
The famous Blackpool Tower & ballroom.
The iconic ballroom know all over the world for it’s amazing ceiling, architecture & sprung dance floor.
Dating back to 1894 it’s a destination for dancing fans from all over the world.
Still open you can dance away to the famous Wurlitzer organ which appears rising out of the floor.
Harry & I have danced a few times on that famous floor years ago!
Three good things:
1. I have written three quarters of my Christmas cards.
2. A long walk this morning & then onto the village to buy sausages. Bacon butties & a coffee sitting on a bench in the sun outside the cafe.
3. I tried my bike when I got home...once round the block but I had my helmet on backwards until I met some friends who put me right.
I think I need lots more practise, luckily just round us there is a wide bike path so no need to go near the main road when I dare to go to the village.
I must say a massive thank you for all the faves for yesterday photo....nearly as many as I’ve ever had so hugely grateful!
My parents were very proud of a medal they had won for ballroom dancing in the tower ballroom. I remember going there with them as a very small girl and being disappointed by the sprung floor. I think I must have expected it to be more like a trampoline!!
A great shot again.. I can remember seeing Blackpool ballroom on Coro St .. stunning building.. Good for you to get the bike out sounds like you in the right place to use your bike often..
Your yesterday shot deserved lots of favs.
Great to see - I'll have to google and see if I can see inside the ballroom. Take care on that bike - you don't want to fall off and break bones in this day and age. I'm not riding yet.
Beautiful shot. We have been there one day many years ago. The weather was bleak and grey. Nobody was around and to say the truth i was very dismayed and considered the day to have been a waste.

Oh dear Dione, I gave to say Blackpool can look very drab on a bad day but comes to life in the sun. It’s not a place I would holiday in but it has its own cheeky charm. The ballroom is something else though!
