Looking back again this is my younger sister & I taken in 2012 at the Paraplegic Games.
We are sitting watching I think if I remember correctly wheelchair badminton.
I am the eldest & she is the youngest, two brothers in between & it was her birthday yesterday.
My niece is very involved with the Games movement & is employed by the Olympic Committee & we got tickets for some events.
We had a fun time, seems a long time ago now & I don’t see as much if her as I would like as she lives in Norfolk.
I know I should have made this black & white but I am not a fan of that medium so left the colour in. I like b/W in others photos but once I have seen a colour version I can’t change it!
Three good things:
1. I have been for my covid swab this morning & now I am isolating for three days before my eye cyst removal procedure on Wednesday. Interestingly I note in this photo you can just see the beginnings of it appearing all those years ago...time it went & it’s got much bigger this last six months!
2. I saw the first daffodils under a hedge this morning!
3. I’m working my way through some small bottles of different flavours of gin I got for Christmas....plum & vanilla this week! It’s different & I like it.
I thought recognised you! What a lovely photo. I'm with you on the colour versus b&w images, but doing the February challenge has really make me look differently at what makes a good b&w subject.
@beryl Yes we must do better...Norfolk is not the best place to get to from Lancashire....we all four of us need to meet halfway....two of us live five miles or so apart here, our second brother moves up to a village near Carlisle on Tuesday & Margaret in Norfolk. We are in touch loads via What’s App...a wonderful invention!
How fun! You can certainly see the family resemblance. The London Olympics was a wonderful event to watch. Great venues, and well done opening/closing ceremonies. All the best with your eye procedure, Pat! Sending good thoughts for a perfect outcome and quick recovery!
Lovely to have sisters and brothers!! And fun looking back.
I'm seeing this on B&W as my phone is set to change at 9.00pm to encourage me to get to bed.
I had to do a self test tonight too for going back to school tomorrow. 😊 Thankfully negative!
Hope all goes gently on Wed. 💛
Sisters are such a wonderful blessing. My sister lives in Atlanta, a two to three day drive from me. We talk almost every day, and almost every day we pine for the day we can get together again. We have to do it when we can!
It is good to see more family of the person we know so well through photographs! My one remaining sister doesn't believe in the internet except for emails so I hardly ever see her. I can't mention the word facebook either!
@filsie65 I wore it to be patriotic...can’t think where it is now though....only isolating for three days but it’s enough while in this tiny bungalow....I’m ready for exercise! All be over later today.
We do look a bit alike but are alike in what we like too may it be clothes, cards....we will often send the same card to relative...
Thank you!
Hope all goes well on Wednesday.
