Bathroom viewing today!
What a mine field that is! Of course the more expensive stuff stands out a mile! We just looked today as our plumber is going to go with us when the time comes to actually buy things.
Three good things:
1. Very encouraged when the very chatty man showing us round said the prices you see in the catalogue...knock 40 to 50% off! We will se if that happens on the ones we pick!!
2. Just down the road was the wood burner showroom so we went in there too!
3. I’m reading a brilliant book just now, couldn’t be more different than American Dirt. This one is called Saving Missy by Beth Morrey. A delightful warm hearted book & great value at only 99p on Kindle.
I can't imagine choosing several things for a remodel. Several years ago we redid some of the kitchens and buy the time it came to replacing the ceiling light I just asked the contractor to pick it out as I was tired of decisions.
Oh what a delight choosing a new bathroom! Mind you I had so much trouble deciding on the new kitchen last year perhaps I am best with not too much choice! Whatever you choose will look fabulous! All shiny new! Heaven!
Your budget would have allowed you to choose the newest and the best - not necessarily the most expensive either. It takes a while to be able to compare!
Exciting, confusing, all rolling in together! Really good you can have personal guidance from your plumber. The advantage of personal touch. We really valued that when we had our bathrooms redone. It's not easy to visualise forward.
Nice shot. I remember the bathroom choices ... SO difficult. Too much choice sometimes. However I was very good at finding the most expensive things. Without even trying. ;-)
I actually think it’s a false economy buying cheaper bathroom fittings! Mind you I stepped into Porcelenosa and out again fairly swiftly- that’s a whole different league!
@judithg Well the Villeroy & Boch handbasin & two drawers beneath was definitely the favourite &what we will go for in the wet room...it’s was a good price too. The rest of the stuff was as usual. I shall contain myself!
@blueberry1222 Ha ha yes, I picked this photo as we are both in together but hate the dark tiles....it was a shower with a mirror on one of the panels.
