Harry’s has collected his tractor from his sisters barn where it’s been living for the last fourteen months.
We had to lower the roll bar to get it in but once it backed into the corner there’s loads of space.
Still a few things to get rid of in the shed then there will be more room. The Zimmer frame has to go back to the hospital, used after the hip replacement!
Out tonight so no need to comment….just a diary shot.
A good driver to back a tractor into a corner! The standard issue after hip op here was crutches for which I was grateful - much more friendly than struggling around on a zimmer which I had used for 2 years! I had to learn to walk properly again and the physio showed me how.
@quietpurplehaze Harry came back with the zimmer & a pair if crutches Hazel. He used the zimmer for about two days then moved onto his crutches. The hospital doesn’t seem to care wether they get them back or not…. Such waste but they are goi g back as we don’t want them.
Oh I'm glad he had crutches, too. I was taught to walk properly again using the crutches in sync with my arms and feet! I was told that the crutches are mine and the hospital does not want them back and I understand from Ray doing hospital car driving that hospitals do not take them back for reasons of hygiene....btw another milestone for me yesterday: I managed to dry my feet and put my socks on after my shower - so Ray has lost another 'duty'.
Thank you, Pat. I am so pleased. I'll just say that when I was very incapacitated before my op, the zimmer was the best thing I had - could not have walked without it! (See my current post, Pat, with the gingerbread man Andrea sent me from New Zealand....)
What a glorious red tractor. I'm sure Harry will be delighted that it's home!
And good to return zimmer.....they have their place at certain times but....

Riding along on a big red tractor,
Riding along on a big red tractor,
Bringing in the Hay, HAY!
(Repeat again for various other colours of tractor)
