Back home! by happypat

Back home!

Harry’s has collected his tractor from his sisters barn where it’s been living for the last fourteen months.
We had to lower the roll bar to get it in but once it backed into the corner there’s loads of space.
Still a few things to get rid of in the shed then there will be more room. The Zimmer frame has to go back to the hospital, used after the hip replacement!

Out tonight so no need to comment….just a diary shot.
Harry will be pleased to have the little MF back home.. be cack to tinkering..

A good driver to back a tractor into a corner! The standard issue after hip op here was crutches for which I was grateful - much more friendly than struggling around on a zimmer which I had used for 2 years! I had to learn to walk properly again and the physio showed me how.

Love the bright red tractor and it fits so well

@quietpurplehaze Harry came back with the zimmer & a pair if crutches Hazel. He used the zimmer for about two days then moved onto his crutches. The hospital doesn’t seem to care wether they get them back or not…. Such waste but they are goi g back as we don’t want them.

@happypat

Oh I'm glad he had crutches, too. I was taught to walk properly again using the crutches in sync with my arms and feet! I was told that the crutches are mine and the hospital does not want them back and I understand from Ray doing hospital car driving that hospitals do not take them back for reasons of hygiene....btw another milestone for me yesterday: I managed to dry my feet and put my socks on after my shower - so Ray has lost another 'duty'.

What a gorgeous old tractor (at least I think it is of vintage era?)
Harry has really kept it in great shape!

@quietpurplehaze well done Hazel you’re doing great! We are keeping the crutches but the zimmer has to go back, taking up too much room.

Riding along on a big red tractor,

I do love a red tractor. John Deere makes theirs in green but it just isn’t the same.

So pleased for Harry. Beautiful tractor and a great happy shot! Will he use it in earnest, or is it just something he can't bear to part with?

@happypat

Thank you, Pat. I am so pleased. I'll just say that when I was very incapacitated before my op, the zimmer was the best thing I had - could not have walked without it! (See my current post, Pat, with the gingerbread man Andrea sent me from New Zealand....)

What a glorious red tractor. I'm sure Harry will be delighted that it's home!
