Preston Railway Station

I’ve been on a trip to Liverpool.
This is Preston Station, rather old fashioned compared with other stations but it has a great history of service during the war.
I remember my own Mum telling me about her time in St John’s Ambulance when they would provide tea & food for the traveling troops as they passed through on their way north or south.

Quite a lot of memorabilia around the Victorian station but I liked this in the waiting room.

Six of us went to a concert in Liverpool, just an overnight stay but I had a bad leg & my knee was very sore but I managed with help.
A quiet week for me with my leg up!
