swan study by helenhall

swan study

I went out yesterday with podcast, fitbit and camera, as is my want on a Friday morning. Podcast and step count ended up losing out to what I ended up calling a swan study. The light was just right to capture a couple of swans in as much detail as my camera will allow. I became fascinated with the neck flexibility and wonder if technological advances have ever resulted from the study of a swan's neck. You may see a few more of these pictures in days to come, but for the moment I selected three that I thought went well together.
A lovely collection in your collage. Swans are so majestic and make a great subject. I like the ruffled feathers in the midde.

These are lovely, Helen. I like the way the swan on the left seems to be looking at you out of the corner of his eye. What you say about the flexible necks has me thinking now too. This is a fav for me.

@tristansmum The swan was eying me up throughout the photo session to make sure I didn't get too close. Thanks for your comment Stephanie.
