blossom layers

I have a bit of a love hate relationship with blossom. I love the delicate flowers when they first appear and the scent is divine but I start to get uneasy when the leaves appear alongside the blossom as I have never liked the resultant colour combination. And then comes the trapsing of fallen blossom into the house which can not be avoided. The blanket of blossom on three adjacent trees on my work route this morning was quite breathtaking and so I took some captures, and then again on the way home as the light was better. Somehow, a screen full of blossom was not as attractive as in real life, so I have opted for some photoshop enhancement to produce a more defined look.

PS - I am chuffed to have been chosen as a finalist in the abstract-glasses competition. That is me made up for the week.
Beautiful!

These blossoms are beautiful and your processing is amazing. It is wonderful that you had the breathtaking experience even if you weren't happy with the screen images. You appear to be getting quite comfortable with photoshop! Congratulations on being chosen as a finalist in the abstract-glasses competition. Well done, Helen! :-)

Very pretty. They all look to be straining to be centre of attention!

@flowerfairyann Yes - you are right now I look again! The shot that lost out to this (just) has one flower that is clearly the centre of attention. Thanks for your comment.

@gaylewood Gayle - I am still only doing the simple things in photoshop. I tried some stuff the other night and after two hours decided it was horrid and kept the unmarred image instead. Glad you like the blossoms and thank you for your thoughtful comments.
