For Mum

Yesterday we had neighbours around to thank them for all the help and concern they had shown to the family and to Mum during the time she was ill. Without the neighbours at times, we would have been up the creek without a paddle many a time. Mum would have heartily approved of the gathering. Today we visited her grave and placed some flowers. We all cope with the loss in differing ways. It was good to be together again which doesn't happen often as my brother lives in Amsterdam and my sister in Edinburgh.
A very personal page you open. Your lines touch me. Some loss change all valences in life. What remains is the memory. It keeps everything alive.
How nice that the neighbors have helped in difficult times. A touching experience.

Superb composition and processing Helen. I'm glad you had a gathering and that you were all together... and had her in your thoughts.

A lovely tribute to your Mum. Sad times, but happy times too with a family get together and the barbeque for your Dad's lovely neighbours.

@brett101 Thanks. I liked black and white as it emphasised the shadows on the hands of my brother.
