Here is the sad truth. Not long after posting Four Candles a week ago today in order to stop me from playing any more with the image when I should have been working, I had to go back to the image to add some flames to the candles. I then wished I had posted that version but so many of you kind people had already commented I didn't dare change it.
Now I am left with my improved version and nothing to do with it. so I am using up a whole new day to post it again. Still, it gives you all a day off from commenting. I will be back again tomorrow with something new.
I appreciate every comment I receive but don't always get a chance to reply individually, or even as a group. I could spend all day ... but it would not be in the best interests of my family and other commitments. I will certainly aim never to take any of your time and attention for granted as I attempt to edge my photography forward slowly but surely.
I love this version too. I know what you mean about preferring a second version. sometimes when I have edited a photo I ask David which he prefers and sometimes I post the version he thought best and then think I should have posted the other one, ha ha.
Well, since I didn't see the original to comment, I get a whole new experience. I like this image a lot! I like the texture created by the reflections. Yay creativity!
Very nice version Helen, I do like the flames! I'm glad you got it to a point that pleased you so much. I know sometimes I post and wish I had done further work on it, so I do understand....
