The white sky fell into the air above the river this morning and brought with it an atmosphere of stillness and a special kind of light.
I enjoyed walking under the lime trees and observing the changing colour of the leaves as they presented themselves hanging in the white misty air.
The biggest compensation for the closing of summer has to be the eye catching performance of the canopies as one by one their leaves transform through glorious colours until eventually the trees stand bare and become sculptures in the landscape until such time as the cycle, once more, begins.
Beautiful image! Lovely colors and composition! I find this time of year to be quite exciting as the trees change so much from one day to the next until, as you say, they stand bare.
