Passing by on Ickwell Green

Yesterday, the purpose of my reconnoitre to this part of North Bedfordshire was to investigate its photographic potential for my card making exploits. I didn't make any serious attempts at capturing the beautiful with it being such a windy, cold and dreary day, but this is the Green on which I will be holding a stall on May day with a friend who makes crafts for charity. It will be my final fund raising effort through card making (at least for this particular project). There is a large Maypole in the middle of the green and so this will be the scene of dancing and merriment and the crowning of the May Queen.

Using this to fill my blank B&W spaces in February.
Lovely cottages

Is there any connection between Ickwell and Icknield Way? (Went for a walk on the latter today)

@helenm2016 I don't think there is a connection. I often confuse one for another though when typing!

Lovely village scene. This is not far from where I used to live when I was in Bedfordshire.
