Bluebell Study 2

Today the sun was out and it made the bluebells look prettier. But, not easier to photograph. I have discarded a number where the light contrasts and patches just look too harsh. When it comes to bluebells, there seem to be a lot of harsh lines and a dissarray of angles. On this image, I have experimented with blurring to give a softer look to the image but accentuated the edges in order to emphasis the pretty shapes of the bells.
A good technique which makes this stand out amongst the many bluebell photos we are all putting up.

Nice effect- it gives the photo a painterly quality that's very nice for Bluebells!

I find it so difficult to photograph bluebells and you have put your finger on why.
