I have a growing collection of unprocessed captures of the grey heron that hangs out on the weir nearby. I was up until 3 am two nights ago trying to edit one that ought to be a masterpiece but somehow won't work. I went out to a food and music festival along the Embankment today, and only ended up with another stash of heron pictures on my camera, which I haven't even looked at. I have absolutely no idea how to arrange my growing assortment of jpg's dng's raw and photoshop files which are in complete disarray, and now that I have had a glass of wine, I doubt that any of that is going to get resolved this evening.
So here is the little fellow that I spied in amongst the lavender yesterday morning as I went to buy my sourdough bread.
We've both have lavender to show for our efforts today Helen. Your photo is so right and mine, well, it's just a record for the day. Wonderful focus, wonderful colour - love it.
This is gorgeous, such beautiful detail and I love the fact that the image is almost monochromatic and then you have that wonderful splash of colour from the ladybird.
And I can completely relate to your image situation. I have just spent two weeks getting mine sorted. It was driving me bonkers, so I finally bit the bullet and created a cohesive filing system, then I imported it all into a new Lightroom catalog with keywords. It feels like having all the closets clean, the garage clean, the laundry and ironing done, AND the junk drawer clean at the same time. Unless you happen to be one of those people who already has all of that clean all of the time...then I've got nothing. :)
