Empty Seat

I am ashamed to say, that even so early in the year, with a new resolve to keep this project alive, and after having been out walking with friends for a couple of hours, there are no new photos on my camera.

We haven't seen our friends for a couple of years and there was lots of talking and catching up to be done. We circumvented the lake in the local country park twice, deep in conversation and then returned home for a late long lunch.

So here is the empty seat from my meanders yesterday morning.

***

Today I have been thankful for the company of friends of old. An ex- flat mate from university days who married my husband's best man.
I'm not sure anyone would want to sit-down here! You would need a waterproof cushion and gum boots! Good to have friends to talk lots to!

It's better that you visited with friends. The camera will be there tomorrow. I like the green on the bench.

There are some things that are worth forgetting to take a shot and one of them is catching up with good friends. I think this shot served well as a fill-in. It might not be the best place to sit down but the moss growing on the bench and the reflection in the puddle make it a great subject for a photo. good shot!

A great shot of this well weathered bench and scene.

Slightly melancholy, apparently nobody sat there for a while …but there is still room in front of it for some courageous soul who needs to rest

What a blessing it was to reconnect with old friends and catch up...and to have a beautiful lake to enjoy all the while! You chose a pretty picture to post. I love the moss-covered bench...very picturesque.

far more important to do the catch-up than take the picture ... sounds like a heartwarming and enriching time ...
