34, framed

It seemed sensible, whilst spending so much time in the house, to pay attention to the window panes that frame our view to the garden. So considerable effort has gone into window cleaning today. We thought if I did the inside whilst my husband did the outside, we would find it easier to work out which side of the pane the dirt is and easier to take the necessary corrective action. It has been a long time since this has been done so thoroughly, but despite this, there remain streaks and imperfections that no amount of research on window cleaning techniques has resolved.

I am not bringing you a view through my clean(ish) windows today, because I prefer the snatches of beauty captured on my early morning walks.

It was the scent of this hawthorn that first caused me to pause in awe yesterday, but the blossom too, was particularly attractive on this and other bushes on my walk.

Oh! My husband and I just admired a hawthorne tree yesterday...not in bloom yet...and we wondered what the blooms would eventually look like. They're beautiful, and I'm so happy you mentioned the fragrance...I didn't know about it. Such a pretty image!
