The Tudor House by helenhall

The Tudor House

Dating back to the 16th or 17th century, the Tudor House is one of the older buildings remaining in Shefford. I had to try and find a way to capture something of Shefford's history with the heading Historical Shefford.

I had a long wait to get these two creating some interest to the right side of the image. No shortage of passers by, but most of them went to great lengths so as not to get in the way of my capture!
What a wonderful door!

You are bringing back memories for me, l love Shefford there are so many great old buildings there. I do miss old buildings sometimes, nothing so old here in Australia.

Is this on the High Street? I seem to remember a fabulous butchers shop on High Street but it is probably long gone now.

@onewing I'm ashamed to say this was my first ever visit to Shefford. It is indeed a lovely little town. This was taken on the High Street opposite the old orphanage and catholic church. I don't remember seeing a butchers on the High Street.

Nice shot- I like that strong leading line and the couple at its pinnacle. Your patience for the right shot paid off!
