My husband and I love to explore places on foot - meandering every which way and discovering hidden delights of a town or city.
My sons, not so much. We had a destination (usually food related) and should take the most direct route.
We should have listened a bit more to our youngest - still on crutches after recent surgery - when he said he could manage the walk but only if it was a straight forward one.
Never the less, we passed through this park and even he enjoyed the view backwards across the lake and to the band stand beyond.
