Our heat-wave is over and although still warm the sky has been full of grey cloud and trying to rain all day. When I walked the dogs this morning, I was followed by a cloud of midges. I turned my iPhone upwards and snapped this shot of my entourage. Something odd has happened to the perspective, the tiny flies - so close they were buzzing in my face and splatting on to the phone - look like distant Spitfire planes in a WW2 dogfight! The pink tinge to the sky was already there but I exaggerated it a bit for contrast.
That *does* look like a dog fight overhead! No doubt you were surprised to see the flies look as big as the birds in the distance! ...that's a lovely evening sky you had!
They are so pesky! I hate when the go in my mouth when I am on the quad! The perspective is amazing as I thought your blurb, which is always good by the way, was going to be about bats.
Argh, run for cover! Brilliant shot, when this sort of bombardment has happened to me I end up holding my breath so not to swallow any, but sure most have downed a few on the bike-ugh!!
