189 - Here we go, outside my comfort zone again! I've often seen mirror shots on 365 project. I've never tried this before so I decided it was time to have a go, with the help of my daughter Lucy.
I'm looking forwards to hearing from you what I can do to improve on this first attempt.
I like the shot, Ian. I wonder whether it would improve or not, if you stood further back and zoomed in, so that you got a greater depth of field and your daughter's hair was in focus too.
There is something spooky in this capture. You've done an amazing job to capture the eye perfectly and blurred out the surounds. My first reaction was of an eye looking our of a gas mask. There is a lot to like in this and is indeed a total departure from your excellent outdoor work.
@doodlerdeb Hi there Debra! Me and Dad do enjoy having a go at different things. Do check out my project too - recently we've managed to co-ordinate what we've taken pictures of!
Thank you Tony, I do need to do a bit more work on this idea - perhaps the first job should be to find a mirror with a better frame, because the black here is quite severe!
Thank you Frida - we enjoyed experimenting with this, and have had another play today, so perhaps another posting to come soon. I hope you had a good holiday
