Roses by if1

Roses

221 - A train trip today to see my mum and do some gardening for her, and what do I find? - she still has a lovely display of roses in her garden, with new buds still appearing, while mine at home are now looking rather worse for wear!

Hard to believe that I haven't included a rose shot in my project since June, considering that they are one of my favourite flowers.

I don't know what variety these are, but I love the pink fringing to the yellow flowers. I hope their colour brightens up your day as much as they did mine. Have a good weekend!

Update Saturday evening - I think these roses might be a variety called Carnival
Nat
Gorgeous shot and perfect colours Ian. How wonderful for your mum to have those in her garden to brighten the day!

What beautiful roses. Nice shot. All my roses are finished now. The weather this summer wasn't very rose friendly.

@tonydebont

Thank you Tony - there were so many nice roses I was spoilt for choice. An as for the train, I don't know how I would manage without it. I don't drive, so its train or bus, and I much prefer the train. York has good connections to all over Britain by rail, so that's really great for me!
