I purchased these sweet pink tulips a couple of years ago as a remembrance of my sister who passed from breast cancer. Proceeds went to breast cancer in some way so I felt it was another way I could contribute to the cause of awareness or free mammograms or research. Today I was told that someone else I love very dearly may have breast cancer, all of the tests aren't in but it doesn't look good. I ask that you would pray for her if you are so inclined. It also gives me another chance to remind everyone to do self exams, get mammograms and encourage those you love to do the same. Thank you.
I'm so sorry about the scary news your friend is facing and that you've been without your sister because of cancer for several years now. You've created a lovely image in memory and encouragement. The flowers' circle could be seen as a hug...
@melston@aat3877@californialover@lyndemc thanks to you all. I had planned this picture to keep for my sister's birthday next month and when we got the news today it just seemed right to bring in the flowers and style them and post it.
@vstap thank you...it's amazing how some things have such a powerful place in your life. we lost a brother six months later... our whole family changed
Beautiful tribute, the slight bending to each other of the tulips is like a comforting embrace! Sorry for your loss. Hope your friend gets positive news.
Beautiful picture, full of love, tenderness and tragedy at the same time. I am sorry to hear about the sad news. This is a great tribute and thank you for spreading the word about the awareness!
@nicoleterheide@overalvandaan@vera365 thank you all! the response to this was overwhelming! quite a community here that people across the globe can lend so much comfort and support. you are all awesome!
@flygirl thanks Dee. Kind of a rough week the waiting and all. I had actually conceptualized this for a tribute to only one sister little did we know. I appreciate the prayers, your comments and fav on the photo.
