Photo Play

The lovely woman who turned me on to 365 came over to play yesterday. We didn't get very far with learning PhotoShop, but we sure had a good time. I feel like a total beginner re portrait photography- as opposed to the semi beginner in landscapes- so please send any suggestions
She does look lovely. Great that you have someone to have photofun with.

Oh I think that's a great portrait!! I might have put a bit more of her body in it?

she looks a great lady! Love having friends to mess about with re photography! I guess I would've tried to take the clutter out of the background a little, a smaller apeture would help this (depends on your lens whether you can go lower)

@judithg @kerristephens thanks much for your suggestions. Juliette, you are meaning a smaller aperture # (bigger opening) for helping fuzz the back ground right? I'm going to try that next time. I forgot

very cool tip from her... nice picture.

portrait can be tricky... I usually do them with overexposure, slight or intense... it makes us look better... ha ha ha...

Love this portrait. Catching a real expression always makes a portrait "work" for me. I like the twinkle in her eyes and the lighting.

well you KNOW I LOVE this lady! She's a great subject already!! Notes: I would change the angle. The better the subject looks...the better YOU look for capturing it! :-) I agree with @sparkle -I would remove the clutter so she's the main attraction.
She's the best, right?!
