Snow Falling on Fir by jgpittenger

Snow Falling on Fir

We hardly ever have snow at the coast but yesterday there were periods of time when the snow came flurrying down with big wet flakes. I played around with shutter speed and this was my favorite. suggestions? and thanks for suggestions and comments these last days. They are so encouraging and helpful
Wow you really caught the flakes well - there's a lot! If anything I might have gone for just the leafless trees to make it look more open and bleak - but thats probably because bleak is my thing wherever possible. Looks good as is.

You really caught the action here! I was going to say it's a shame it wasn't 'Snow falling on cedars' but I didn't really get on with that book so firs are better!

@fueast Now that is an interesting thought...if we get any more snow I'll try it. Thanks

I think the outcome of this image is quite perfect. Snow shots can be tricky but I think you delivered it perfectly. Well done.

Your picture worked out very well I think! I found that snow is really hard to catch. We haven't had any for 13 months so I haven't been able to practise either :)
