Inspired by Corey's moon shot the other day, I figured I'd try. I'm not home so no access to editing other than snap seed, so I used it to crop. I see it came out very small. Learning, learning. It was also tricky last night shooting when the moon was high in the sky to get the angle of my camera on the tripod right with my gimped up back.
@fueast Wouldn't know how to???edit? Take it?if the latter, I just read the Exif info in Corey's posting, went to manual and plugged in his ISO, a, and shutter speed and voila. I also bracketed exposures just in case. I love the texture and colors in this picture when viewed large
Great moon shot! What settings/lens/filters/etc do you use? I have yet to get a decent moon shot.
I hear ya on the gimped up back. When I was in Italy 3 years ago, I strained my back the very first day; it was BAD! I did everything I intended to do, and more, regardless. One photo I took really reminds me of my back: it's a pic of a fake Michelangelo's "David" on top of Piazzale Michelangelo in Florence. The sun was behind it and casting a nice shadow. I wanted to get the sun glinting from over his shoulder and had to literally get on the ground on one knee, bent over, angling upward, to get the shot. It hurt like crazy, and I almost couldn't get back up again. But I got the shot!
So: good job on letting the photographer tell the back who's in charge! =-)

I love how you composed this. Well done!
