Best enlarged to see the detail of the sun lit rigging. I really liked the sense of peacefulness in the golden hour light.I underexposed a bit to make the background less distracting. Do you think that works?
You bet I think it works! Fav. I like the dark background very much. Underexposing was the perfect choice. I probably would have used a spot meter on the bright boat.
Underexposing things works brilliantly I have found - you can do so much with them - increasing the contrast to make it even darker as you have done here with gorgeous results!
The reflection and the blackness of the water is wonderful.
