View large to see his fish and the water droplets. This beauty is an eared grebe all dressed in breeding plumage. It was really exciting to get to see him and I was delighted to get the catch light.

Look at that face! You are getting quite the evil eye for even looking at its fish. Superb detail and I really like the crop containing the reflection on the smooth water.
We have great crested grebes here but never seen an eared one. The shape is the same but different plumage. Great capture of him and the fish, lovely detail. Definitely giving you the evil eye.
