I am posting this primarily for advice. My Peterson online class has us doing panning this week. I think it's really hard. this is one of the best I have gotten so far.
Very clever panning & a perfect place to execute the speed you can see here...no advice because you are better than me but love the slight speed pose of the child, she is really leaning into the corner!!
Nice capture! For me, it would be perfecto if the little girl in the foreground was a little sharper. The composition is excellent and I love the colors!
You are doing really well. I haven't done any panning for years. It looks as if you may have had your focus on her pink pants rather than on her head, which is what I'd expect, but it's really a very good shot
I say to move in closer to your subject. That means your subject will be going by you faster, which means more blur of the background, which, I think, is what you're looking for in the shot.
It is really hard. Nice attempt. I might have selected a wider aperture and tried to blur the background even more. Although the faster settings would not have shown as much action blur on the back riders, I think also you would find the foreground rider would have been much sharper.
Nice shot Jane. Actually I've been doing panning pics every night this week. Very frustrating. I'm getting close to what I find "good" but not there yet.
