Roosevelt Arch by jgpittenger

Roosevelt Arch

Another shot taken on the way into Yellowstone edited on my uncalibrated tiny laptop since my desktop is on the fritz once again. It has been pouring for days so I'm not inspired to bring out my camera and am continuing looking through my Yellowstone shots for potential keepers.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
A grand entrance :)

@deborah63 not sure re the blue cast. I’d go fix it if my computer were functional

So nicely composed - I think I already mentioned - not a problem when you don't take a shot today - I look at it as a chance to share more of Yellowstone! Loving these.

What a marvelous and massive structure. The blue is evident, but without the calibration of your desktop monitor, it will ve hard to tell. I find that a smart phone will mimic the fine calibration. Your trip looks wonderful but boo re weather.

Very impressive structure, looks quite forbidding, especially in that light. Sorry to hear you’re getting bad weather there.

Great shot. I remember seeing this arch on one of my visits to the park, but don't remember the history behind it. It seems a little out of place but makes a statement with the landscape in the background.

What an extremely impressive entrance to a National Park. It looks like it should be protecting an ancient city.

@sunshinepix I think it is an acknowledgement of Teddy Roosevelt's starting of National Park system and Yellowstone was the first one
