Best on black. Ever since I got back to swimming in the lake about a month ago, there has been a blue heron hanging around hoping the fishermen will catch fish too small to keep and he will get to eat them. I'm nervous about leaving my camera in the car while I swim especially since our car got broken in to last summer while we were swimming here. This morning it was raining hard off and on so I wasn't sure if I wanted to swim or not, so I took my camera. I wasn't disappointed although the heron had to catch his own breakfast this morning since the fishermen kept catching fish that were big enough to keep! I probably will posy a couple other of the shots I got but I liked his feet and the fish in his beak here.

Awesome shot. I used to fish a lot and sometimes would put the fish in a five gallon bucket for a short time. If you were not aware, the blue herons would sneak up to that bucket and start fishing from it and rob you blind. :-)
