Best on black. When there have been as few clear nights as we have had this month, a gal has to go shoot stars even if the moon is too bright! The night was gorgeous but the Milky Way doesn't pop the way it does in the dark of the moon. On the other hand, I liked the path the moon shed on the ocean. The elements combine here so well, from the reflections of the moon to the hint of the Milky Way. We are having what folks are calling a 'white sky' which seems to be the smokey film. Very unusual as it's not foggy, but yet not clear.
