Marine Layer Sunset

I missed shooting a great sunset on Monday night so went out hoping for another last night. The marine layer came in so nothing dramatic but I kind of like its understatedness.

This is lovely - but what exactly is the "marine layer' - it is a layer of salt haze?

@robz that’s a great question...not sure if it is salt or not but it is like a low fog at the horizon that comes in especially in summer and blocks the colors from the sun setting
