I thought he was pretty neat in the sunlight with his shadow and then gave the distracting background a bit of a "seeing to".

He's so beautifully clear - and his shadow also - even the veins in his wings. Having the foreground different to the background is an interesting idea. Just as a totally uneducated, totally personal point of view I wondered if the foreground was a little bright and distracting from the wonderful fly?
