Hummer Tongue Out at the Feeder

Best on black if you want to see his little tongue. Last year we were able to have a single Annas hummingbird overwinter by making the syrup more concentrated. We may have 3 this year! And yesterday the sun was shining and their bright red coloring came alive.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
So cool both to see the tongue AND that splash of color on his neck. Such clear details!

The gorgeous coloring and brilliant clarity of the hummer -- and yes, that tongue -- contrasts with the softness of everything else to help focus our eyes to delight on the bird.
