Jim and I drove up to Cape Perpetua for the sunset yesterday eve. The clouds were lovely but the sun set into a cloud bank. It actually looked like spun gold which barely shows up here. The Pacific is rarely so peaceful with gentle swells and it was actually pretty warm.It was a beautiful evening and it makes me happy to find spots I can drive to without much walking. Best on black.

What a great outing for you - nice to break up the tedium of an unhappy knee. I love how your POV gives us such a good view of a very well behaved ocean - all those parallel swells as far as the eye can see. And they contrast so nicely with the radiating pattern in the sky. :)
So good to hear you're getting out and about, must help the cabin fever no end. Had to laugh at your comment on the Pacific, all too often it's anything but pacific as you'd well know.
