Juvenile Bald Eagle Fly Off

I'm way behind on commenting because I was gone all day yesterday and will be again today, but I will get back to it on Wednesday. I was excited to see a juvenile bald eagle on our hike yesterday. It was really far away and taken at 400mm and cropped a lot so it's not as sharp as I'd have liked but still thrilling to me. And I like how the log he had been on looks like a fancy bull horn

I have a philosophy about these kinds of pictures - I take the picture I can get when I first spot it even if there is a chance to get closer. I get closer if I can otherwise I wait for another opportunity. But waiting for the perfect shot instead of the one you can get just leads to frustration. You took the shot you could get and it is cool.

A wonderful capture, one sometimes has to take what one can get. Fav

Cool capture. That trunk out there does look like the skull and horns.
