Barnacles by jgpittenger

Barnacles

Best on black. I really liked the barnacles and How the eye is led through them to the sea.
Thanks for the visits, comments, suggestions, favs
Stellar with the way they lead our eye. I might have cropped a bit more from the top and given it an extended pano look. The solid gray seems more than you need. But I like the proportion, so that's clearly the trade-off.

Great composition.

I just took your photo and added just the tiniest bit of light between the barnacles. It was not much, since you would probably wonder where the light is coming from, but that really helped draw the eye.

Great composition with the placid pool morphing into the turbulent ocean and then out to that interesting cloud bank.

@taffy interesting idea and I agree re the grey but I don’t like the proportions when I crop it out

@moonmtn I thought of that just as I was posting it but didn’t do it. I think you are right on

@jgpittenger Oh well...I had wondered about that being a problem. It's still a great shot as is!
