Osprey On the Nest

Yesterday I was in my kayak with no camera and this juvenile was squawking up a storm and then he caught a big fish and proceeded to eat it. Today I had my camera and he just sat in the nest for the whole time I was on the lake. Isn't that what always happens?
By the way, my LR isn't working right. Is anyone else having that problem?
