Best on black. I found this spot as a potential spot to shoot the Milky Way a couple of months ago. Since then either the sky has been filled with cloud cover or the moon has been too bright. Finally last night the sky was dark and clear. It was however really cold and windy so hard to get the perfect shot. I had wanted to take a bunch of images and star stack but I was shivering as was Jim who kindly came to help me feel safe in a little iffy a spot.
Thanks for your visits, comments, suggestions, favs
Right away my eyes went to the beautiful light to the right of the shot and then I looked to the stars. And the beautiful light just behind the trees .
Exceptional, the luminous glow on the wood is magic. I total understand the shivering. I'm going to look for hand warmer gloves and add them to my (winter) kit
Glad everything finally aligned. And it looks like an outstanding place to get the ideal shot. Hopefully when it warms up, you can do a little more with it the way you want.
I hope I can get a shot like this someday.
