Star Stack Outlet

Best on black. Boy was it cold for here 27 degrees F. This is a stack of 20 photos to decrease the noise. It seems like forever since there has been a high enough tide, a small enough moon, and clear skies. Finally last night conditions were favorable. In the next month this favorite spot of mine will be closed until October for snowy plover nesting season.

Love the way you do these night shots! But imagine that stacking took a bit of time in that below freezing weather! Great results though

Amazing capture. I'm actually taking a short course on the Milky Way photography right now, so hope I can get out and get some shots.

Gorgeous, Jane! Do you use helicon to stack? Do you set your camera to do any internal stacking?

@jyokota i used deep sky stacker. I usually use sequator (PC only) but for some reason it kept trailing my stars. No internal camera stacking. Tried to use my interval o meter to shoot the 20 star frames but it isnā€™t work in the coldā€¦manual shooting too!
