For those who have followed me for a while, this spot may seem familiar although last winter's rain and wind changed the path of the river a bit as it goes in to the ocean. This area is closed off from mid April until mid September to protect snowy plover nesting, so I am always delighted when it is available again for photography. The egret flew into the scene with my settings off for a sharp capture since I was focused on the sunset.
