@jgpittenger I think overall the edits worked nicely. They make the stars and the milky way really punch.
It looks like they had a bit of a strange impact on the moon though. If you did this in lightroom, I'd suggest doing the edits using the adjustment brush and not selecting the moon with it, because it looked awesome in the earlier version. Also, for the treeline, you might try clicking on "auto-mask" to help choose only the trees or the sky when doing edits on each. Make sure you've got a decent amount of feather on the brush too to avoid clear lines of where you edited and where you didn't
@colosimo Thanks so much for all the great teaching you are offering. I'll try again when I'm back home again. I shot the stars agin last night with my wider angled lens but couldn't stay up until the moon went down. Hopefully there will be a clear night with earlier moon set in the near future
