We looked out the window and there were seven of these beauties munching below the garden. They make me so happy (at least since we have a 10 ft fence that mostly keeps them out of the vegetable garden). Best viewed large to see their munching mouths and one with her tongue stuck out.

Great capture! I know my friends in Washington bad mouth the deer who manage to scale fences to ruin their flower and veggie gardens. But the deer are wonderful to watch.
I would never get tired of seeing them, and this image is a beautiful sight. It has been said that fences make good neighbors. We see elk from my house too, but a 500 mm lens is required.
