I am beginning to find this challenge a tiny bit easier! I liked how this was composed and the F 1.8 made for a nice blurring of the background but maybe just a bit narrower focus on the rose than I would have liked. Best on black.

I'm sorry to comment from a position of ignorance (re NF and it's implications) but this is just gorgeous. Obviously whatever you are doing is producing fabulous results. :)
Like the lighting - particularly against black - can't say I'm finding the sooc with the 50mm any easier yet! I really like the way this composing turned out. Fav
