Peregrine Falcon Grooming by jgpittenger

Peregrine Falcon Grooming

The trip last week to Newport when we got to see and photograph whales was supposed to be to photograph the peregrine falcon parents and newly fledge babies. They were hunkered down the whole time we were there so the best I got was this one with her grooming. This is one of the parents...the female I think.
Thanks so much for the visits, comments, suggestions, favs

That must have been quite a day - you sure saw some beautiful wildlife. Like this against black - Be exciting to see a peregrine falcon.

I like this shot of the bird grooming itself. Peregrine falcons are pretty rare aren't they?

A different sort of photo - grooming rather than hunting or soaring. This gives us a great idea of her colours and markings. A very personal sort of image. :)
