Did You Call-

Best on black. Black Pearl makes such tender eye contact with me. Makes my heart sing. This is even after we plucked 37 (so far) ticks off her after a hike in a place we won't go back to for a long time!
Thanks for your visits comments, suggestions, favs

37 ticks - that's horrendous! Are they the paralysis ticks - I hope not! Your image shows her beautifully. :)

I love the play of light on her fur. Lovely eyes.

@robz we are up to 42 now! I’ve not heard of paralysis ticks. Yikes. These are deer ticks. They can carry Lyme disease but as far as I know that affects humans not 4 leggeds

Poor girl to have picked up so many ticks!

What a shine your girl has! Ticks are such a nuisance to dogs....my brother who lives in the Lake District is always finding the same problem....what a good job she has you to take care of this problem. Very wise not to re visit.

Awwww, beautiful!

Lovely shot - 42 sounds horrific! I stress over 1 or 2 from the sheep at the farm.

That's a relief. Your deer ticks sound like our cattle ticks - ugly, grey scaly things that swell u and fall off. The paralysis tick is a scrub tick which starts out very small and is not easily seen. They kill the dog or cat if they aren't promptly removed. They're a constant worry over here. It's so good to hear that Pearl isn't at risk. :)

@robz that sounds terrifying. I wouldn’t dare take her outside. These are brown and pretty small but luckily not so deadly
