Abundance

This is our oldest apple tree and for years the apples on it have been few and far between. Jim only didn't cut it down because it has good branches for hanging our hammock. This year it is loaded. Almost all the branches are packed with big yummy apples.

@shutterbug49 neither jim nor I can remember but they are crisp, sweet and juicy and keep well. Probably my favorite of the 7 apple varieties we grow

Lovely apples. They look similar, but not identical, to the Granny Smith variety we have here. Glad you spared the tree. The old adage round here is that if you have a fruit tree that's not performing you should lean the axe against it as a dire warning!!

Lol - maybe it got wind of the fact that it was maybe on the chopping block... Or maybe a change in the usual seasonal conditions? It's been horrible over here!
