Blue Heron Flying in Smoky Foggy Sky

They are so prehistoric looking. Taken a couple of days ago when the sky was still filled with smoke. I'm so grateful it has passed at least for now.

When one first flew by the window and cast a shadow on the wall, I saw the shadow and questioned "What the heck, was that? A teradactyl?!" LOL their shadows are very Flintstone like. Wonderful shot - I too am grateful for the smoke easing up - You I believe have rain in the forecast - we won't see rain for several month yet, but we can always hope.
